Certainly it is art, but it is also an act of faith – for here, there is worship. This choir of angels, posed reverently before an unfiltered sun, beckons us all to reflect. There are other figures depicted – and a women with child –  all part of Young’s Miami holy land.  And with this rough hewn altar of wood and concrete nails, the artist has presented his own updated version of a centuries old shrine, reflecting a shared spiritual legacy now gracefully interwoven with his own.  The artist created less than a half dozen altars. Featuring brilliant colors and sturdy rustic construction, this work stands tall among them.
